Budget Nerd provides personal budgeting tools, collaboration features, and related content. Features may change, be suspended, or be removed at any time, with or without notice.
3. No Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice
The Service is for informational and organizational purposes only and does not provide professional financial, investment, accounting, tax, legal, or other regulated advice. You are solely responsible for your decisions and outcomes.
4. Account and Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for account credentials, device security, backup files, passphrases, and any actions taken through your account. You must promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
5. User Content and Data
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the Service, comply with law, and enforce rights.

- Use the Service unlawfully or to violate third-party rights.
- Attempt unauthorized access, probing, scraping, or disruption of infrastructure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts paid by you to Budget Nerd in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Budget Nerd and related parties from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or Terms violations. You may stop using the Service at any time.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction selected by Budget Nerd, excluding conflict-of-law principles where not required. You agree that disputes may be resolved in competent courts in that jurisdiction unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
14. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement regarding the Service.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
